The nature and fauna of Kazakhstan is diverse and beautiful, but on the territory of this country there are many unpleasant animals that can harm a person. Poisonous snakes, scorpions and spiders pose the greatest danger to residents and guests of this state.

What spiders live in Kazakhstan

Despite the temperate climate, the diversity of spiders and arachnids in Kazakhstan is quite large. On the territory of the country you can find many harmless crosses, horses and domestic spiders, but among them there are also species whose bite can be deadly to humans.

Karakurt

Spiders of Kazakhstan.

Karakurt.

Karakurts are one of the most dangerous animals in Kazakhstan. On the territory of the country you can meet with three different subspecies of this spider:

  • thirteen-point karakurt;
  • karakurt Dahl;
  • white karakurt.

Despite the small size of this spider, the poison of all three of its subspecies is a danger to human health and life. Even the bite of white karakurt, which is the owner of the weakest toxin, can kill a child or an immunocompromised adult.

Heirakantium yellow or yellow sak

Spiders of Kazakhstan.

Yellow sack.

This bright representative of the order of spiders has a characteristic yellow color. The body length of the yellow saka varies from 1 to 1,5 cm. Thanks to strong chelicerae, it is not difficult for these small spiders to bite through human skin.

The poison of the yellow sack does not pose a serious danger to human health. The consequences of the bite of this spider are similar to those of a wasp sting. In an adult healthy person, the toxin of this arthropod causes only swelling and pain at the site of the bite, which disappear after a while.

Tarantula

Spiders in Kazakhstan.

Tarantula.

The genus of tarantulas feels great throughout the territory of Kazakhstan. They have adapted to life even in regions with severe winters. The most common species in this area is the South Russian tarantula, which can reach a length of 5 cm.

Spiders of this species are nocturnal and dig deep holes in the ground. Humans are most often encountered by tarantulas when they accidentally crawl into tents or shoes left outside. Serious consequences after the bite of the South Russian tarantula can occur only in children and allergy sufferers.

Central Asian solpuga, phalanx or camel spider

Spiders of Kazakhstan.

Phalanx spider.

These are large arachnids that look quite creepy. Although they are not true bunches, but belong to the phalange order, the salpugs have a similar appearance to them and are widely distributed on the territory of Kazakhstan. The body length of a camel spider can reach 7 cm. The distinctive features of the phalanges are:

  • absence of poisonous and spider glands;
  • five pairs of limbs instead of four;
  • the absence of chelicerae and the presence instead of them of two pairs of mandibles with teeth.

Small individuals of the camel spider do not pose any danger to humans, but larger representatives of this species can bite through the skin and infect their victim with sepsis or other dangerous infections.
