Wasp uterus - the founder of a whole family
Wasps have their own world in their nests. Everything is strictly and ordered, each individual has his own role. Moreover, members of the colony never play a role for another. The uterus of the wasp, the founder of an entire civilization, has a separate role.
Description of the insect
Buzzing animals with a bright shade of the abdomen are familiar to many. They are encountered quite often in the open air, but often they also get into the house.
There are many species of these insects, and only the social ones that live in a colony have a queen or wasp queen. The uterus is the whole center of society and the founder of the whole family.
Wasp uterus - an individual that lays eggs. Some species of fertilized queens may have several, but when the time comes to lay them, a struggle flares up and one remains.
Appearance
Beginning and cycle of life
The wasp that will be the founder of the family is born from a fertilized egg in late summer or early autumn, hibernates. By spring, she comes to life, begins to build the makings of honeycombs, gradually the dwelling expands, and the number of inhabitants in it increases significantly. By this time, the old uterus has already been expelled or killed, because its role is over.
Young individuals fly out of the house, mate in the process of swarming. Females fly for some time, look for a place for winter and feed. They prepare a place for themselves, make a small nest, grow a few helpers for themselves. When the first working individuals appear, the uterus is exclusively engaged in procreation.
When eggs are laid and larvae appear, they become workers. Teenagers signal that they are hungry, and wasps bring them food. Throughout the warm season, the uterus breeds and produces new offspring. Only she has that advantage. The rest are just working.
The life span of the wasp queen is several years, and not one season, as long thought. If the uterus dies, then the whole family will eventually die. The immature larvae become prey to parasite invaders or die of starvation. Worker wasps leave their place of residence, young females can find a new place and establish a colony there.
The female is very prolific, she lays 2-2,5 thousand eggs at a time. And all her life she only does what she lays eggs in cells in combs, working individuals take care of the offspring.
wasp loner
Representatives of solitary wasps reproduce by mating. Each female can proudly be called a queen, because she builds a nest and stocks for future generations herself. The larva feeds and develops on its own, and when it can already get out, it goes in search of a new place of residence.

Conclusion
Wasps are an organized group of fairly intelligent animals. They have their own hierarchy and each individual takes its place. The uterus is the eldest, the main female, can proudly bear the title of the founder of the family, but at the same time she works hard for the benefit of the whole family.
