For application, it is enough to determine the habitats of pests and sprinkle them with ground cinnamon. The powder is poured into anthills, scattered on ant trails, on near-stem circles of fruit trees and shrubs, between rows in the beds and just along the paths. To enhance the effect, some gardeners mix cinnamon powder with lemon or orange zest.
Sticks
Cinnamon sticks can also be laid out near the anthill, or broken into pieces and scattered along the path of the insects. Also, with the help of cinnamon sticks, you can build trapping belts on fruit trees. To do this, cinnamon is simply tied around the trunk.

Solution with the addition of tar soap. To prepare such a remedy, you need a bucket of water, a crushed bar of soap and 40-60 g of cinnamon powder. 

How to get rid of ants in the house with cinnamon

The main advantage of this method of pest control is the pleasant and beloved by many smell of cinnamon. In addition, cinnamon is absolutely safe for pets and young children.

Cinnamon powder can simply be sprinkled in places where insects accumulate. For example, near cracks in the floor through which pests enter the house, or on ant trails. Sticks

You can also prepare a solution. To do this, mix 60 ml of water, 60 ml of vodka and a few drops of cinnamon essential oil. The finished product should be poured into a container with a sprayer and treated with surfaces on which ants are most often found.

Prevention of the appearance of ants

It can be very difficult to get rid of annoying ants and it is better to do everything possible so that they do not settle on the site, since insects most often get into houses from the garden. To protect yourself from pest problems, you should follow some rules:

  • do not leave old stumps, rotten logs and the remains of rotten wood on the site;
  • regularly remove fallen leaves and tops from the beds;
  • annually carry out digging of the soil on the site;
  • timely spraying of plants on which aphids were seen;
